Location and Background Established in 1968, Strathlachlan Caravan Park is owned and run by the MacLachlan family and is sited on their estate, home to the MacLachlan clan since they arrived in Scotland from Ireland over one thousand years ago. Strathlachlan is set amidst some of the most breathtaking scenery on Scotland’s west coast, in a region packed with magnificent castles, gardens and beaches. It is within easy access of excellent sea and freshwater fishing, hill walking, sailing, diving and golf as well as the towns of Dunoon, Inveraray, Tighnabruaich and the Island of Bute. |
Local Amenities Within easy walking distance just along the shore, you’ll find Inver Cottage Restaurant, which offers excellent home-cooking using locally-sourced produce. Open all day in the summer for coffee, tea, home baking and light lunches, the restaurant also features a delicious dinner menu served in a friendly, comfortable atmosphere overlooking Loch Fyne. Newspapers, groceries and fuel can be found in the village of Strachur, which is a scenic six-miles drive away. |
